It’s better to download and install RPM packages in Debian-based systems, where they are widely supported. However, be aware that RPM-based packages aren’t compatible with Ubuntu – they may have unmet dependencies and cause system crashes. While Ubuntu does not use this file format, you can install RPM-based packages directly from the Software Center.
